The Graphic Eye: Contemporary Prints from the Collection of Jack and Elaine Pearlman
October 22 through December 2, 2012
Stewart Center Gallery
In a lifetime of collecting, the Pearlmans have assembled a remarkable group of contemporary images by the major printmaking artists, working primarily through Tamarind Institute, founded in Los Angeles in 1960 as a means to "rescue" the dying art of lithography, and later affiliated with the University of New Mexico. The exhibit includes a number of donations and promised gifts to the Purdue Galleries permanent collection.
Opening Reception: Thursday, October 25 from 5:30 - 7 pm
